Mr. Merlyn Rees

asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity if he will publish the average weekly earnings, average hours worked and average hourly earnings in manufacturing industries for the last available month for Great Britain and each of the planning regions, respectively.

The standard regions for statistical purposes coincide with the regions used for economic planning except that Poole, which is in the South-West Economic Planning Region, lies in the South-East standard region for statistical purposes.

Following is the information for October, 1969, for men manual workers—21 years and over—in manufacturing:

each of the planning regions, respectively, in 1969 and 1970.
