HC Deb 15 July 1970 vol 803 c219W
Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland when he will evaluate the Salmon pilot schemes in the National Health Service; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Gordon Campbell

Salmon pilot schemes in Scotland have not been in operation long enough to enable an objective evaluation to be made; the first came into operation in December, 1968, and the seventh and last only in April, 1970. The indications are that in the main the new structure is working well and is beginning to provide a more efficient nursing management and service.
