(2) if he will revise the present plans for the development of the A2 road from Brenley Corner to Dover to include a by-pass of Canterbury and to speed-up the whole programme.
§ Mr. Michael HeseltineWe have no plans at present to extend the M2 from Brenley Corner, but the A2 route is being progressively improved to dual-carriageway standard as quickly as possible. A Canterbury bypass is unlikely to be justified before the late 1970s.
