asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the cost to public funds of preparing, printing and distributing the circular entitled "Tax Rates on Pay and Overtime ".

Mr. Bruce-Gardyne

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will instruct the Board of Inland Revenue and his own Department not to issue circulars to taxpayers, financed out of public funds, containing contentious material of a political nature relating to levels of taxation.
