With the present general reductions in Defence expenditure, there are no plans to transfer additional work to Scotland.

- Admiralty Reactor Test Establishment, Dounreay.
- Central Dockyard Laboratory, Rosyth.
- Admiralty Research Laboratory Extension, Glen Fruin.
- Admiralty Research Laboratory Extension, Loch Goil.
- Fighting Vehicles Research and Development Establishment range at Kirkcudbright.
