asked the Minister of Technology if he will now make a statement on the development of vertical takeoff and landing aircraft.

The Transport Aircraft Requirements Committee recently reviewed the manufacturers' proposals. It was agreed that further studies are needed. My noble friend will be asking my hon. Friend and other hon. Members to a full discussion of the problem on 4th February.
