HC Deb 25 February 1970 vol 796 c343W
93. Sir J. Gilmour

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what evidence has been obtained from examination of salmon caught in Scottish rivers since the start of the present season to establish that any of the fish have suffered damage from the extensive oil pollution in the North Sea; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Ross

I have no evidence that oil pollution has caused any damage to salmon and no reason to suppose that it is likely to do so.
