§ 95. Mr. William Hamiltonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many persons are involved in the granting of salary increases to members of new town development corporations and other public bodies in Scotland; if he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT a full list of the details; and on what basis such increases have been awarded.
§ Mr. RossThe salaries of the Chairmen of the five New Town Corporations have been increased from £2,000 to £2,750; those of the five Deputy Chairmen from £1,000 to £1,375; and those of the 32 members from £500 to £700. All these increases took effect on 1st January, 1970, and they reflected the fact that none of these salaries had been increased since January, 1963. If my hon. Friend cares to specify the other public bodies he has in mind, I shall provide the figures relating to any of those for which I am responsible.
