§ Mr. Laneasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what steps he proposes to take to prevent indiscriminate bull-dozing of hedgerows, with consequent threats to plantlife, wildlife and danger of erosion.
§ Mr. MackieI do not accept that hedgerows are removed indiscriminately. Our advisory officers always consider the agricultural advantages of hedgerows 343W when advising on the layout of farms, and they also take into account the amenity aspects.
