asked the Minister of Technology what is now the expected programme for the prototype fast breeder reactor's construction and commissioning; and if he will make a statement.

It was announced last March that the construction of the Dounreay Prototype Fast Reactor was expected to be completed by the end of 1971. Progress since then suggests that it should still be possible to achieve this programme.
