HC Deb 19 February 1970 vol 796 c193W
Mr. Geoffrey Lloyd

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is his estimate of the number of persons suffering severe brain damage as a result of accidents; what facilities exist for rehabilitating such persons; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Crossman

With regard to the first part of the Question, no figures are available. With regard to the second part, there are a wide range of medical rehabilitation facilities available in the hospitals in which they are treated as well as reference centres giving special assessment services.
