§ 63. Mr. Alec Jonesasked the Secretary of State for Wales what increase in public funds is to be made available for mental health services in Wales in the coming year.
§ Mrs. WhiteMy right hon. Friend has asked the Hospital Board to increase its allocation of funds to the long-stay hospitals and in addition has provided an extra £140,000 for the improvement of services to mentally handicapped patients in Wales.
Local authorities are also paying increased attention to the requirements of the mental health services, but estimates of their proposed expenditure are not available.
