§ Mr. William Edwardsasked the Secretary of State for Wales what assistance will be made available to small urban authorities with a high percentage of old houses and derelict areas to appoint area improvement officers under the Housing Act, 1969.
§ Mr. George ThomasFor individual local authorities whose rateable resources are below the average for England and Wales—and will therefore qualify for the resources element of rate support grant—any revenue expenditure incurred in the employment of area improvement officers will be grant-aided through that element of rate support grant.
