Mr. Tudor Watkins

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will list the authorities and committees which were asked to submit observations on the Report of the Functions of the District General Hospital; when these were to be submitted; and if he will make a statement.

  • Institute of Hospital Administrators.
  • Joint Consultant's Committee.
  • British Medical Association.
  • Royal College of Nursing.
  • Royal College of Midwives.
  • County Councils Association.
  • Association of Municipal Corporations.

  • London Boroughs Association.
  • Society of Medical Officers of Health.
  • Greater London Council.
  • British Red Cross Society.
  • St. John's Ambulance Brigade.
  • Women's Royal Vountary Society.
  • Royal College of General Practitioners.
  • General Medical Services Committee.
  • Executive Councils Association (England).

In addition I have consulted the Welsh Hospital Board, the Executive Councils Association (Wales) and Welsh Local Health Authorities. All were asked to let us have their observations by 31st December, 1969.

I have in addition received comments on the report from other interested persons and bodies. I welcome these observations and will ensure that they receive careful consideration.
