Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what was the total amount paid to Manchester Corporation in rate support grants and their equivalents in each of the past nine years; and what is his estimate of the amount payable for the year 1970–71.

of the Southwell Rural District Council, Newark Rural District Council and Newark Borough Council in the past 12 months compared with similar rebates and grants paid to those authorities in 1964.
