§ Mr. Adam Hunterasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether, in view of the recent increase in retirement pensions, he will take steps to raise the income limits for the purpose of rate rebates in Scotland.
§ Mr. RossYes. A draft Order in tersm of Section 7(6) of the Rating Act 1966 will be laid before the House shortly to raise the income limit to £10 per week for a single person and to £12 5s. per week for a married couple, with effect from 16th May, 1970.
