§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Minister of Technology what liaison his Department has with its counterpart in Israel, in view of the rapid advance being made in all fields of industrial and technological development there; and whether he will take an early opportunity of visiting that country with a view to organising a bilateral exchange of opinions and joint assistance towards technological progress in both countries.
Mr. Alan WilliamsA delegation from the Department visited Israel in 1968, and my right hon. Friend discussed technological co-operation with the Israeli authorities during a visit to Israel in November, 1968. We have no present plans for another visit. Useful links have been made over a wide area of industrial technology, and these contacts continue.
