HC Deb 17 December 1970 vol 808 c446W
Q13. Mr. Greville Janner

asked the Prime Minister whether he has now consulted with the Pakistan authorities regarding a visit to East Pakistan in January; and what is the outcome of such discussions.

Mr. Maudling

I have been asked to reply.

The programme for the visit of my right hon. Friend to Pakistan, which is being arranged with the Pakistan authorities, does not envisage a visit to East Pakistan. The House will be aware that the emergency relief operation carried out by British forces has now been concluded.
