HC Deb 16 December 1970 vol 808 c371W
Mr. Jopling

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will call for a report from the Commissioners of the Metropolitan Police about traffic conditions in Whitehall Place, and the extent to which the new road surface will reduce the danger of traffic accidents.

Mr. Sharples

The Commissioner of Police does not consider that traffic conditions in Whitehall Place present special problems. I understand that the new surface was laid in the course of normal maintenance.
