HC Deb 16 December 1970 vol 808 c351W
83. Mr. Grylls

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what consultations officials of his Department, and in particular officials of the South-Eastern Road Construction Unit, have had with the Chertsey Urban District Council over the planning of the route of the M25 motorway.

Mr. Michael Heseltine

Council officials were consulted in the usual way and the proposals have been explained at meetings with the Highways and Works and Planning Committees of the Council.

Mr. Grylls

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he has received representations from residents of Loncin Mead Avenue and Pinewood Avenue, New Haw, drawing his attention to the effects on a residential area of the proposed M25 motorway; and what reply he has sent.

Mr. Michael Heseltine

Yes. The writers have been informed that their representations are being considered.
