HC Deb 16 December 1970 vol 808 c359W
Mr. Frank Allaun

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how much revenue will be lost in 1971–72, 1972–73 and 1973–74, respectively, by the ending of the Land Commission; and how much annual saving there will be in the salaries of servants of the Commission made redundant.

Mr. Graham Page

The estimated losses of revenue without taking account of the administrative savings in the years mentioned will be £15 million, £25 million and £35 million. About 950 Land Commission posts are being abolished at an annual saving of £1.7 million.
