§ THE PARLIAMENTARY UNDERSECRETARY OF STATE, FOREIGN AND COMMONWEALTH OFFICE (THE MARQUESS OF LOTHIAN)The provisions of the Commonwealth Immigrants Acts cover the entire populations of each of the dependent territories and associated States, with the exception of any citizens of the United Kingdom and Colonies resident in those territories who qualify for exemption by the birth, naturalisation or registration of themselves or one of their parents or grandparents in the United Kingdom. Figures for this category are not available.
The total population of each dependent territory and associated State, according to the most recent estimates available, is published in the Year Book of the Commonwealth, 1970. The figures are, for the noble Lord's convenience, as follows:
