Mr. Gwynoro Jones

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry how many jobs he expects will be created in Wales in the next four years; and if he will give a breakdown as between male and female, and as between the regional groupings used in the Welsh Digest of Statistics.

The numbers of jobs in manufacturing industry which are expected to arise within the next 4 years in authorised new industrial buildings and in existing buildings taken over by manufacturing firms for the sub-divisions of Wales are set out below. These figures are based on estimates provided by the firms concerned in the projects.
