§ 110. Mr. Arthur Lewis
asked the Secretary of State for the Environment by how much he estimates the revenue to increase from raising the driving licence fee from 35s. to 65s. in January, 1971; and, as it is now taking up to 10 weeks for Londoners to undertake their test, what plans he has for ensuring that applicants receive a speedier test.
§ Mr. Eldon Griffiths
The new driving test fee is intended to put the organisation on a sound financial basis.
It should be possible to speed up the procedure in the New Year.
