HC Deb 14 December 1970 vol 808 c243W
Mr. Gorst

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether the files or records of the Consumer Council are to be preserved after it ceases to function; where they will be kept; and for what purposes they will be retained.

Mr. Ridley

The disposal of these papers is a matter for decision by the Council; but I understand that the Council intends to pass on to other organisations such of them as it would be proper and useful to hand over, and to destroy the remainder.
