§ 53. Mr. G. Elfed Daviesasked the Secretary of State for Wales if he can now state the date when the building of the second stage of the new comprehensive school at Ferndale will commence.
§ Mr. Peter ThomasThe proposal has yet to be submitted for my consideration and approval, but I understand that the Glamorgan Local Education Authority is planning to make a start on this project early in 1971.
§ 54. Mr. G. Elfed Daviesasked the Secretary of State for Wales whether, in the plans for the building of the second and third stages of the new comprehensive school at Ferndale, he will give an assurance that provision is made for the needs of disabled pupils as envisaged in the Chronic Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970.
§ Mr. Peter ThomasIt will be the responsibility of the Glamorgan Local Education Authority to see that the plans of the proposed extensions to the Ferndale Comprehensive School meet the requirements of this Act.
