HC Deb 14 December 1970 vol 808 c234W
Mr. Russell Kerr

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what difficulties are being experienced by the Receiver of Beagle Aircraft Company Limited which owns extensive properties around Shoreham, with the local council regarding the sale of the company's properties to prospective industrial users; what steps he proposes to take to assist the Receiver satisfactorily to wind-up the company's affairs; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Corfield

I have been asked to reply.

The disposal of Beagle assets is being conducted by the Receiver in accordance with normal practice. The local authorities of Brighton, Hove and Worthing are involved as owners of Shoreham airport. I do not think I should comment on commercial negotiations in progress.
