§ 66. Mr. Wolrige-Gordonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what steps he has taken to ensure that preliminary procedures have been carried out, as set down in the Plant Health (Scotland) Act, 1967 and the Destructive Pests and Diseases of Plants (Scotland) Order, 1966, 382W before ordering the destruction of a crop of potatoes.
§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithI am satisfied that the procedures which are followed, before potatoes are destroyed under statutory powers, provide adequate safeguards.
