HC Deb 30 April 1970 vol 800 c385W
66. Sir Knox Cunningham

asked the Secretary of State for Defence whether he has studied the recruiting advertisements issued by his Department, copies of which have been sent to him by the hon. Member for Antrim, South; and why the Union Jack is omitted from the one issued in Ulster.

Mr. Hattersley:

It is our general custom to use the Union Jack only in national advertisements for the Regular Army.
