asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will now make a statement regarding the steps he is taking to increase the amount of the grants and of the loans available to tenant crofters for the building of croft houses and steadings, in view of the increase in building and transport costs in the last few years, particularly in the Islands; and if he will make a statement.
