HC Deb 13 April 1970 vol 799 cc151-2W
41. Mr. Stainton

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services when he will introduce amending legislation to ensure that the name of the father of an illegitimate child may be entered in the birth register where an affiliation order has been obtained and the father is unwilling to co-operate with the mother in terms of the Family Law Reform Act, 1969.

Dr. John Dunwoody

This is one of a number of acceptable changes in the law relating to the registration of births and deaths. I cannot say when it will be possible to introduce a Bill.

46. Mr. Kenneth Lewis
