asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science (1) what progress has been made for the reorganisation of secondary education in Stockport;
(2) if he will make an official visit to Stockport.

There has been no progress on secondary reorganisation in Stockport. I am ready to meet repre-104W sentatives of the authority to discuss reorganisation and the related question of secondary school building programmes if this is the authority's wish. I have no plan to make an official visit to the authority myself.
