HC Deb 09 April 1970 vol 799 c125W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Prime Minister on what basis he estimates that it would take a disproportionate cost to give full details of the number and type of appointments made by Her Majesty's Government since 1964 of Ministers, ex-Ministers, Members and ex-Members of both Houses of Parliament to salaried positions and their salaries received; and whether he will give as much information as may be readily available without incurring any disproportionate costs.

The Prime Minister

In order to provide this information it would be necessary to ask all Departments to review all appointments made by their Ministers to salaried positions over a period of six years. This would involve disproportionate cost.
