asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity what is the average gross income per wage- or salary-earner in the European Economic Community compared with the European Free Trade Association and the United Kingdom at the latest convenient date, expressed in dollars.

The following figures for the European Economic Community and the United Kingdom which have been extracted from a publication of the European Community Information Service relate to 1967. Corresponding figures for the European Free Trade Association are not available. It should be noted that the figures relate to a period before the changes in 1969 in the parity of the German and French currencies.
