§ Mr. Randallasked the Minister of Technology, in view of the intended closing down of Chambers Packaging Limited 67W on the Team Valley Trading Estate with the loss of 130 jobs, what steps he is taking to ensure the minimum hardship to those at present employed and to provide alternative employment.
§ Mr. VarleySubject to Chambers Packaging Ltd.'s rights under the existing lease, the Department will endeavour to find a new tenant for the factory when it becomes vacant. The local officers of the Department of Employment and Productivity will do all they can to help those affected by the redundancy to find new jobs, including training opportunities where appropriate.
