§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the President of the Board of Trade to what extent his Department is assisted in increasing exports to Israel; and whether he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT figures giving the change in the amounts of exports to Israel during 1968 and 1969, respectively.
§ Mr. Goronwy RobertsBritish exports, including re-exports, to Israel rose by £38 million and £15 million in 1968 and 1969 respectively. I am confident that this reflects the increased activity of British exporters who have taken advantage of assistance provided by the Board of Trade in co-operation with the British National Export Council's Committee for Israel and our Embassy in Israel.
