§ Dr. Ernest A. DaviesA number of additional new materials and proposals for dispersing oil slicks have been examined by Mintech Laboratories in the past year. Preliminary trials have shown that the I.C.I. product Dispersol OS shows considerable promise for use at sea and the material produced by the Shell Company for sinking oil also seems likely to be of value in some situations.
