Mr. Maurice Macmillan

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will publish a table showing, for each of the years 1946 to 1968, inclusive, the proportion that the average price for that year of one pint of standard milk bore to the average price for that year of one pint of mild ale, best draught bitter, light bottled ale and whisky, respectively.

Member is not available for all the years or in the detail requested, but the table below shows the proportion of the average price of one pint of ordinary milk to the price typically charged in the public bar for one pint of draught bitter beer and to the price of one bottle of proprietary Scotch whisky for each of the years 1956 to 1968 inclusive.
