HL Deb 16 October 1969 vol 304 c1606WA
LORD MOLSON

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What were the circumstances of the departure of Robert Williams from Britain and what cost, if any, was met by the Government.

BARONESS SEROTA

Mr. Williams arrived at London Airport on 5th September and was detained, as an alien refused leave to land, until 12th September when he left on an aircraft of Trans-World Airlines. The costs of Mr. Williams' detention are chargeable to the carrying company which brought him to this country.

House adjourned at seven minutes past six o'clock.
