§ Mr. SkeffingtonAs was explained on 24th July in reply to a Question from the hon. Member for North Angus and Mearns (Mr. Buchanan-Smith), representations on this subject had been received from the National Farmers' Union and discussed with them. We reached the conclusion that change in the rating law in regard to agricultural buildings in England and Wales is not warranted in advance of the reorganisation of local government.—[Vol 787, c. 481–2.]
