asked the Secretary of State for Scotland to what extent his policy for the development of North-East Scotland has been affected by the Gaskin Report.

Mr. Ross

The report was commissioned precisely to recommend how best that policy could be implemented, and I welcome its detailed definition of objectives as a framework for the joint working essential to economic progress in the North-East as a whole.
