§ 63. Mr. Eadieasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what reply he has sent to the Newbattle District Council, Midlothian, letter to him on its request for a meeting to discuss new industries as a consequence of the mining industry contracting in that area.
§ Mr. RossI have not received a request for a meeting from the Newbattle District Council. I understand, however, that my hon. Friend accompanied a delegation from the area which discussed this matter with senior officials of the Ministry of Technology in Scotland at a meeting on 7th November.
