§ Mr. Wingfield Digbyasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT an upto-date table showing the trade balance with each of the United Kingdom principal overseas suppliers of food and feedingstuffs.
§ Mrs. Gwyneth DunwoodyAmong the principal countries are Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Irish Republic, Republic of South Africa, Denmark, Netherlands and the United States of America. Figures for the visible trade balance are not available for individual countries. The figures of imports c.i.f. and exports and re-exports f.0.b. with each country are given in Table IV of the Overseas Trade Accounts for September, 1969. The difference between these figures is not, however, a good measure of the visible trade balance with these countries because, inter alia, of the difference in the bases of valuation.
