§ 71. Mr. David Steelasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether, in view of the recent decision of Roxburgh County Council to grant a two-year exemption from rates to the Border Unit Railway Company, he will give a general direction to the Forestry Commission to assist in whatever way possible the provision of timber freight contracts to the Border railway.
§ Mr. RossThe Forestry Commission is already in touch with the company and is willing to consider any practical and competitive proposals it makes for carrying its timber.
