§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Minister of Transport why no records are kept of the number of vehicles that are registered but not licensed; and what was the total number of vehicles registered at any given date.
§ Mr. MurrayDocuments are kept for every currently registered road vehicle, but it would serve no useful purpose to maintain a continuous count of those which are currently unlicensed. It is estimated that in the third quarter of 1968 there were about 18 million vehicles for which documents were kept.
