§ Mr. Ridleyasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will seek to amend the Highways Act. 1959, so that railway undertakers cease to be exempt from road charges.
§ Mr. SkeffingtonRailway undertakers are never exempted from road charges under the 1875 code and are exempted under the 1892 code only where their property derives no benefit from the street works. I see no reason to withdraw this exemption.
