HC Deb 11 November 1969 vol 791 c49W
44. Mr. Blaker

asked the Minister of Transport what representations he has received from the North-West Economic Planning Council and North-West Transport Users' Consultative Committee about the proposal by British Railways to reduce severely the number of through services to and from Blackpool South Station and what reply he has sent.

Mr. Murray

We consulted both bodies about the Board's proposals to transfer most of the through services to Blackpool North Station. In accordance with normal practice their advice was given in confidence.
