HC Deb 22 May 1969 vol 784 cc141-2W
Mr. Hamling

asked the Minister of Overseas Development whether he will now make a contribution to the International Centre for Advanced Technical and Vocational Training in Turin.

Mr. Prentice

I have agreed to provide help to the Centre to the value of

average total cost of dwellings in the representative areas, and details of the assumptions used in the calculations.

Mr. MacColl

The table is below. The figures are subject to so many qualifications that meaningful comparisons cannot be made.

£100,000. This will include the supply of equipment from the United Kingdom, travel by British airlines and travel and subsistence costs of fellows studying or using facilities in the United Kingdom. I will consider the possibility of any further contribution at the appropriate time in the light of experience and of the evolution of the plans and activities of the Centre.
