§ Mr. Brian Parkynasked the President of the Board of Trade (1) whether design principles establish that an airport of the size required can be constructed within the limits shown by the Roskill Commission on its short-list site plan Drawing No. CTLA 5.
(2) if the areas shown by the Roskill Commission on its short-list site plan Drawing No. CTLA 5 accurately depict the area necessary to be required for the construction of the airport or whether it is only a general indication.
§ Mr. William RodgersAs the Chairman of the Commission said in his published letter to my right hon. Friend of 24th February, the drawing in question shows only "the approximate location" of each of the four shortlisted sites. Additional information on some of the sites has now been published by the Commission and that for Thurleigh (Bedford) is due to appear on 28th May.
