§ Q20. Mr. Manuelasked the Prime Minister what study he has made of the interim statement of the Scottish Trades Union Congress on devolution in Scotland, a copy of which has been sent to him; and what action he now proposes to take in this matter.
§ The Prime MinisterI understand that this statement was accepted by the Congress as a basis for the preparation of its evidence to the Commission on the Constitution. It will be for the Commission to consider the evidence of the Congress in due course.
§ Q21. Mr. William Hamiltonasked the Prime Minister what steps he plans to take to improve the co-ordination of the activities of the Paymaster-General and 274W the Secretary of State for Scotland on the problems of devolution.
